Alpakka (Alpaca) Følgetråd (complimentary thread) is an alternative for Tynn Silk Mohair for those who do not wish a fluffy expression. This is a lace-weight yarn.
We have chosen not to set needle sizes or knitting tension, as it works best as a complimentary thread. Hence the name Alpakka (Alpaca) Følgetråd.
Our supplier has guaranteed that the wool we buy does not come from sheep that have been subjected to mulesing.
For machine washing, we recommend that all wool garments be washed separately on a wool program, to ensure the gentlest treatment. Due to the unique absorbency of the merino wool, it is important to centrifuge hand-knitted garments well before drying them on a flat surface, preferably on top of a towel. Never use a laundry bag when washing hand-knitted wool garments. This creates friction that can cause the garment to felt.
